This paper was given by Michael Stanford BVSc MRCVS of Birch Heath Veterinary Clinic, at the annual meeting of the Association of Avian Veterinarians in Monterey, California in 2002. The author reports his initial work on the measurement of calcium blood levels in African Grey parrots on a commercial parrot farm in the UK. This original research forms part of Michael Stanford's work towards his Fellowship of the Royal College. |
